City of Irvine Seeks Input on Urban Forest
The City of Irvine is developing a 30-year Urban Forest Master Plan (UFMP) to enhance sustainability, and we are seeking community input. The urban forest includes all trees on public and private property, including streets, parks, and commercial areas.
Your feedback will help shape the plan to reflect residents’ priorities for Irvine’s tree canopy and climate resiliency. The survey is anonymous, securely stored, and can be exited anytime.
Take the Urban Forest Master Plan Survey to help guide the future of Irvine’s urban forest.

One Paw Forward at the Irvine Animal Care Center
The future of animal care in Irvine is taking shape as the Irvine Animal Care Center expansion and renovation project continues to make amazing progress.
Grading is complete, and we are now ready for construction on the new offices and animal clinic. A state-of-the-art biofiltration system has been installed to ensure the center exceeds all environmental standards. Renovations to the existing buildings that house dogs are also progressing smoothly.
Throughout construction, the center remains open, continuing to provide top-notch care for animals.
The project is expected to be completed by summer 2026. We can’t wait to welcome you into the new and improved Irvine Animal Care Center.
Stay tuned for more updates as we move forward in creating a brighter future for our community and the animals we serve. Learn more at cityofirvine.org/animals.
