Traffic Signal Shutdown at Main Street and Gillette Avenue
The traffic signal at the intersection of Main Street and Gillette Avenue will be turned off and/or placed in red flash mode Thursday, January 9, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. for traffic signal work. Every effort will be made to keep traffic flowing and minimize disruptions; however, delays should be expected and motorists should consider using alternate routes.

Culver Drive and Alton Parkway Intersection Improvements
Intersection improvements are taking place at Culver Drive and Alton Parkway. These began Monday, January 6. Work will continue Monday to Friday, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. through spring. The project will be completed in phases. Phase one will close the right turn pockets on Culver Drive in both the westbound and eastbound directions and the right turn pocket on Alton Parkway in the northbound direction just south of Culver.
Improvements will take place behind K-rail and include removing and replacing asphalt, curb and gutter, curb ramps, and sidewalks as well as implementing traffic signal modifications and other utility adjustments.

Construction Update: SR-55 (I-405 to I-5 Freeway) Improvement Project
The Orange County Transportation Authority, in cooperation with Caltrans, is improving 4 miles on SR-55 between I-405 and I-5 Freeways. The project, which began in August 2022, will include the following updates:
- Adding one regular lane and one carpool lane in each direction on the I-405 and I-5 Freeways.
- Merging lanes between several interchanges.
- Improving freeway bridges over MacArthur Boulevard, Dyer Road, Edinger Avenue, and a railroad crossing.
- Restriping regular lanes.
- Installing overhead signs and lighting.
