December 11-18, 2024

In addition to the projects listed below that may impact your commute, you can find information on work being done to enhance our City on the Capital Improvement Projects Map and the Road Construction Map.

SR-55 MacArthur Boulevard On-Ramp Closure

Crews are pouring concrete to reconstruct the northbound SR-55 MacArthur Boulevard straight on-ramp, which requires an extended closure of the ramp. The on-ramp is closed and will reopen to motorists Thursday, December 19, by 5 a.m. The schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather or unforeseen operational issues.

The work being done is part of the SR-55 (I-405 to I-5) Improvement Project. The Orange County Transportation Authority, in cooperation with Caltrans, is improving 4 miles of SR-55 between I-405 and I-5 Freeways. The project will add one regular lane and one carpool lane in each direction to help with traffic flow and improve mobility. In addition, the project will add merge lanes between several interchanges.
