November 6-13, 2024 

In addition to the projects listed below that may impact your commute, you can find information on work being done to enhance our City on the Capital Improvement Projects Map and the Road Construction Map.


Walnut Avenue Closure

Walnut Avenue south of Jeffrey Road will be completely closed Thursday, November 7, at 11 p.m. to Friday, November 8, at 5 a.m. for work on the Jeffrey Open Space Trail Bicycle and Pedestrian Bridge. 

Access to area residences and businesses will be maintained; however, there will be no access to the southbound I-5 Freeway on- and off-ramps or Caltrans Park & Ride during the overnight closure. 

The Jeffrey Open Space Trail Bicycle and Pedestrian Bridge is anticipated to be complete in March 2026.

JOST Walnut Closure

Traffic Signal Shutdown at Jeffrey Road and Alton Parkway

The traffic signal at the intersection of Jeffrey Road and Alton Parkway will be turned off and/or placed in red flash mode Wednesday, November 6, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Every effort will be made to keep traffic flowing and minimize disruptions; however, delays should be expected and motorists should consider using alternate routes.
