Road Construction & Improvement Projects

October 2-9, 2024

In addition to the projects listed below that may impact your commute, you can find information on work being done to enhance our City on the Capital Improvement Projects Map and the Road Construction Map.

Trabuco Road Improvements

Work will be done on Trabuco Road between Jeffrey Road and Sand Canyon Avenue to remove and replace asphalt pavement, curbs and gutters, curb ramps, and sidewalk. In this final phase of the project, K-rail will be removed to complete final paving, striping, and utility and traffic signal adjustments.

Work began Monday, September 30, and will be complete Tuesday, November 5, weather permitting. The project will be worked on from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Work will be done entirely behind lane closures, taking place between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Every effort will be made to keep traffic flowing; however, delays should be expected and motorists should consider using alternate routes.

Concrete will be poured on the northbound State Route 55 (SR-55) MacArthur Boulevard off-ramp, which will close the off-ramp Friday, October 11, at 9 p.m. to Monday, October 21, at 5 a.m.

When the off-ramp reopens, it will be temporarily restriped to include one left-turn and one right-turn lane at the MacArthur intersection. The work will be loud and is scheduled to change due to inclement weather. Please visit the Orange County Transportation Authority's website for more information.
