Scheduled Closure of SR-133
Ramp, Lane, and Connector Closures on I-5, SR-133, and SR-261
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has scheduled a closure of State Route 133 (SR-133) in Irvine Wednesday, April 10 and Thursday, April 11, as well as other lane, ramp, and connector closures of Interstate 5 (I-5 Freeway), SR-133 and State Route 261 (R-261) in Irvine from Monday, April 8 to Friday, April 12. Pending weather, the following locations will be closed to rehabilitate pavement and refresh traffic striping in the area. Detour signage will be in place to assist motorists.

Wednesday, April 10
- Northbound SR-133 from I-5 Freeway to Great Park Boulevard from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
- Northbound I-5 Freeway connector to northbound SR-133 from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Thursday, April 11
- Northbound SR-133 from I-5 Freeway to Great Park Boulevard from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
- Northbound I-5 Freeway connector to northbound SR-133 from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Detour Information:
- Exit northbound I-5 Freeway at Sand Canyon Avenue.
- Turn left onto Sand Canyon Avenue.
- Turn right onto Irvine Boulevard.
- Turn right onto northbound SR-133 on-ramp.

- Northbound SR-261 #2 (right) lane from Walnut Avenue to Portola Parkway from 2 a.m. to 6 a.m.
- Southbound SR-261 #2 (right) lane from Portola Parkway to Walnut Avenue from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m.
Wednesday, April 10
- Southbound SR-261 #1 (left) lane from Portola Parkway to Walnut Avenue from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Weekly Slurry Seal Schedule
As part of this year’s Annual Street Rehabilitation and Slurry Seal project, the City of Irvine will apply Slurry Seal this Saturday and Sunday, April 13 and 14, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Traffic will be affected at the locations below; please use alternate routes both dates.
- Alton Parkway – Culver Drive to Jeffrey Road.
