This Week in DE&I

There are many cultural and religious holidays celebrated and recognized throughout our community this month. Learn about some of the significant dates being observed in Irvine below and on our DE&I calendar.

DE&I

Random Acts of Kindness Day: February 17

Random Acts of Kindness Day is observed February 17 each year. It's a day dedicated to encouraging people to perform acts of kindness for others, without expecting anything in return. These acts can range from simple gestures like holding the door open for someone or complimenting a stranger, to more elaborate deeds such as volunteering or helping those in need.

Consider an act of kindness for your Irvine neighbors by volunteering for Meals on Wheels to deliver nutritious meals to qualifying homebound Irvine residents each week. Learn more about the program and how you can volunteer at cityofirvine.org/mow
