This Week in DE&I

There are many cultural and religious holidays celebrated and recognized throughout our community this month. Learn about some of the significant dates being observed in Irvine below and on our DE&I calendar.

National Poverty in America Awareness Month

National Poverty in America Awareness Month is a time for people to come together to raise awareness about poverty and its effects on individuals, families, and communities in the United States. This monthlong observance is an opportunity to educate people about the realities of poverty and what they can do to help those in need. It is also a time to advocate for policies and programs that can address poverty and its root causes, and to support organizations that are working to alleviate poverty and provide assistance to those in need.

FOR Families provides information and short-term support to those in the Irvine community who need assistance identifying and accessing needed services and resources.

The City of Irvine's FOR Families services include consultations to help identify your needs and offers resource referrals to organizations and programs best suited to assist you. If you need assistance, please contact FOR Families at 949-724-6650, or email
