The City of Irvine is a Top Workplace!

Top Workplace

The City of Irvine was awarded a Top Workplaces 2023 honor and ranked No. 14 on the list of Large Companies with 500 or more employees in the 16th annual The Orange County Register’s list of Top Workplaces awards and magazine publication.

This is the third consecutive year the City of Irvine has received this prestigious award, and the only Orange County municipality to receive this recognition.

This is the 16th year The Orange County Register has partnered with Energage, a Philadelphia-based workplace survey and employer-relations company, to determine Orange County’s Top Workplaces. The results are based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey that uniquely measures 15 culture drivers that are critical to the success of any organization.

Electrical Fire Safety

Avoid Holiday Electrical Fires

This holiday season you may be taking time to "unplug" and connect with family and friends. The City of Irvine's holiday elf, Gus, has been connecting with his friends at the Orange County Fire Authority and wants to remind us all to consider unplugging at other locations, too.

If you are spreading holiday cheer with festive lights and decor, avoid overloading power strips to reduce your risk of electrical fires. If your extension cords, power strips, and surge protectors are worn, old, or damaged, skip the wish list with these items and replace them right away.

For more holiday fire safety tips, visit OCFA.org.
