CAAP

What does your Climate Future Look Like?

The City of Irvine has embarked on developing its first Climate Action and Adaptation Plan (CAAP). The CAAP will set ambitious but achievable emissions reduction targets for the City and lays out a pathway to achieving our climate goals across both municipal operations and our community.

The CAAP will recommend adaptation measures that build resilience to current and future climate threats and create goals for our community to reduce emission reduction targets for the next 20 years.

How can you be a part of this? The CAAP should be reflective of the priorities and values of the Irvine community. Take our CAAP survey to provide your input on potential CAAP actions. Share your feedback with us by taking the survey, and send to your networks and peers to do the same. Visit cityofirvine.org/caap for more resources and ways to get involved.

Great Park

Shape the Future Great Park Library

The City of Irvine is in the planning phase of a new library at the Great Park as part of the Great Park Framework Plan. Planned for a site adjacent to the Botanical Gardens and the Veterans Memorial Park and Gardens, this will be the most versatile library in our City.

Community engagement and input are crucial as we shape the future of our new facility. Join the City of Irvine at an upcoming Community Town Hall to help create a space that reflects the needs and aspirations of our vibrant City.

Veterans Day Ceremony

Honor our Military Veterans

The City of Irvine invites the community to honor veterans and their families at a special Veterans Day Ceremony Saturday, November 11, 11 a.m.–12:30 p.m., in the Formal Garden at Colonel Bill Barber Marine Corps Memorial Park.

The ceremony is thoughtfully designed to express a spirit of gratitude to the men and women who have served in the United States military with unwavering dedication, both in the past and the present.

This event is free, open to the public, and an opportunity to recognize the valor, courage, and sacrifice of the brave men and women who have served. In the event of inclement weather, the Veterans Day Ceremony will move to the Irvine City Hall, located adjacent to the park.

Colonel Bill Barber Marine Corps Memorial Park is located at 4 Civic Center Plaza in Irvine. For more information, visit cityofrivine.org/specialevents or call 949-724-6606.
