Honor Those Who Serve
|
Purple Heart Day is a time for Americans to remember and honor the men and women who bravely represented their county and were wounded or killed while serving.
These individuals are decorated with a Purple Heart, given by the president. On this day, the Irvine community is encouraged to reflect on the bravery of those who have fought for the U.S. and ensure their courage is never forgotten.
Visit the City of Irvine’s Northwood Gratitude and Honor Memorial to pay tribute to Americans who have fallen during their service in Afghanistan and Iraq.
The Northwood Gratitude and Honor Memorial is located at Northwood Community Park, 4531 Bryan Ave., at the corner of Yale and Bryan avenues. Learn more.
