Share Your Feedback about Irvine's Transit Needs
|
The City of Irvine is conducting a Transit Vision study to explore how to improve mobility around the City – including getting to and around Great Park.
The study aims to define community transportation needs in Irvine and determine additional transit needs (beyond the existing iShuttle and bus routes located in the City).
The City is considering piloting new transit options and we want to hear from you! Please join us and review the proposed options and provide your feedback Sunday, May 15, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the Great Park Certified Farmers Market, or Saturday, May 21, near the Visitors Center.
If you cannot make it to Great Park, visit the project website to learn more and complete the survey at cityofirvine.org/transitvision.

Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month
|
In May, communities all over celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. Asian/Pacific encompasses all of the Asian continent and the Pacific Islands.
The month of May was chosen to commemorate the immigration of the first Japanese to the United States May 7, 1843, and to mark the anniversary of the completion of the transcontinental railroad May 10, 1869. The majority of the workers who laid the tracks were Chinese immigrants.
To pay tribute to the heritage month, the 11th annual Irvine Korean Cultural Festival will be held this Saturday, May 14, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Irvine Civic Center.
The event will feature Korean traditional dance and music, food vendors, Korean arts and crafts, a K-Pop cover dance competition, squid games, and more. The mission of the festival is to share Korean culture with the entire community. Learn more at irvinekoreanfestival.org.
