Strengthening Mental Health

U.S. Secretary Visit

On March 9, United States Secretary of Health and Human Services Xavier Becerra met with City of Irvine officials about our nation’s mental health crisis, and how to strengthen the mental health and crisis care systems in our communities.

Congresswoman Katie Porter, Mayor Farrah N. Khan, Councilmember Tammy Kim, and city staff participated in a roundtable with Secretary Becerra to discuss several innovative City mental health programs. These include the Irvine Police Department Mental Health Unit, which takes a case-management approach to mental health, and has been lauded on a state and national level. Additional mental and behavioral health programs include Be Well OC in Irvine, and the Community Services Youth Outreach and Senior Services programs.

For more information about City of Irvine mental health resources, please visit cityofirvine.org. To learn more about Secretary Becerra’s national tour to strengthen mental health, visit the Health and Human Services website.

GIS Interactive Maps

Map it Out!

We know road construction, or any delays on the road, are not fun. So, map it out before you drive! While we do our best to minimize any delays, the City of Irvine's interactive road construction map can help you visualize what you may encounter on your drive.

Our Geographic Information System team creates and maintains several maps you can explore, such as Irvine parks, bikeways, and Capital Improvement Projects around the City.
