One Irvine: Neighborhood Revitalization Program
|
|
|
|
The City of Irvine resumed its One Irvine program this week. One Irvine is a neighborhood revitalization program that connects Irvine residents with community-strengthening resources and with each other. The program enhances neighborhood conditions and facilitates specific improvement projects in collaboration with residents.
One Irvine focuses resources in Irvine's older neighborhoods to spark community-led reinvestment, while also providing opportunities for homeowners citywide.
The One Irvine program offers:
-
A Permit Fee Holiday, which waives certain building and planning permit fees for single-family homes built in Irvine in 1975 or earlier.
-
Green Home Grants up to $1,000 per household to support smaller sustainability projects. Available to homeowners in North El Camino Real.
-
Home Improvement Loans up to $25,000 for larger-scale projects. Available to homeowners in North El Camino Real. These loans, repaid upon sale or transfer of the property, are designed for projects related to home repairs or sustainability upgrades — including solar panels.
To learn more, including how to apply for these programs, visit cityofirvine.org/oneirvine.

What does Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion mean?
|
On January 26, 2021, the Irvine City Council passed a resolution reaffirming Irvine’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion within our community. As such, the City of Irvine formed a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Ad-Hoc Committee to provide input on the needs of the community to help meet the City’s goals of inclusion.
After an unprecedented year of DEI Committee activities, campaigns, and initiatives, the City
Council unanimously voted on December 14 to convert the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Ad-Hoc Committee to a standing committee and expand its roles and abilities. This includes the addition of two At-Large appointments through a public recruitment process that is currently underway.
For more information about serving on this committee, and the goals of the organization, please visit weareirvine.org.
