Irvine Child Care Project Accepting Applications for Scholarships

ICCP Scholarships

The Irvine Child Care Project (ICCP) is accepting applications for scholarships to income-eligible families to help pay for their children to attend an ICCP child care program. An ICCP child care program is available on each Irvine Unified School District (IUSD) elementary school campus. Awards to eligible applicants cover a percentage of monthly tuition fees based on demonstrated financial need. Scholarship funding is provided by the Irvine Children’s Fund, and payments are made directly to the ICCP child care provider.

Families must meet the following criteria to be eligible for an ICCP scholarship:

  • The child must attend an IUSD school.
  • Qualifying family income must meet current U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) income guidelines, based on family size.
  • Adult household members must be employed.

Due to the availability of temporary, one-time funds provided through the CARES Act, families who have lost employment, wages, or are at risk of homelessness due to the coronavirus pandemic may also be eligible for funding.

Learn more and apply now at cityofirvine.org/childcarescholarships.

Guidance on Face Masks During Camps & Activities

The City of Irvine continues to follow state and local guidance on face coverings to protect against COVID-19 transmission. Masks will be required for unvaccinated participants when indoors at community centers, with some exemptions as outlined in the California Department of Public Health Guidance for the Use of Face Coverings. Masks will also be required of City employees, instructors, and parents interacting with children in youth settings such as child care, camps, and activities. Masks will not be required when outdoors or if the participants are fully vaccinated. All parents and visitors to City facilities should review the full California Department of Public Health Guidance for the Use of Face Coverings prior to their visit. Visitors must follow all posted signs regarding face coverings and modified use of facilities.
