Fun Facts for 50 Years of Incorporation!
|
 |
Up, up and away! Eddie Martin was an entrepreneurial aviator who leased 80 acres on the Irvine Ranch, where he offered plane rides for $10 and taught many local residents how to fly through his flight school. In 1939 the airport was closed, and Martin's operations were moved southwest to the new Orange County Airport.
