COVID-19 Vaccinations Available for Irvine Residents 65+ on Friday, February 19

A limited number of COVID-19 vaccination appointments are available for tomorrow, Friday, February 19 at Lakeview Senior Center. Registration is open now at yourirvine.org. This opportunity is open only to Irvine residents age 65 and older. Additional vaccination information is available below if you are unavailable for this opportunity, or if you are in a different vaccine eligibility tier.

Please pay attention to which website portal to use for registration purposes, as certain sites use particular registration and scheduling systems.

Othena

Individuals who live or work in Orange County, CA can register online through Othena.com to view available appointments and to keep informed with upcoming availability. Othena is a vaccine scheduling system created by CuraPatient, in conjunction with leading health care experts and public health agencies. The Orange County Health Care Agency Hotline can assist seniors or those who are not tech-savvy with the registration process. The Hotline number is 714-834-2000.

My Turn

Cal Poly Pomona has joined the statewide vaccination effort in partnership with a consortium of statewide health organizations. Vaccines are available to eligible individuals who live in the surrounding communities, including Irvine. You must have an appointment to receive a vaccine at this site. Visit California’s My Turn website, myturn.ca.gov, to see the current eligibility requirements and information on appointments.

CVS Pharmacy started scheduling COVID-19 vaccinations for eligible groups at 100 stores across California on February 12. Walgreens has an online scheduling and eligibility program, so people can register to receive updates on when appointments are available. Rite Aid is working with local agencies to receive vaccinations, and their website offers an eligibility screening and appointment tool. Advance registration is required for all pharmacy vaccinations, and appointments will be made under public health guidelines for prioritized groups — currently health care workers, seniors age 65 and older, and long-term care residents. Anyone without internet access can call customer service: CVS 800-746-7287; Walgreens 800-925-4733; or Rite Aid 800-748-3243.

UCI Health

UCI Health will provide COVID-19 vaccinations to individuals that are 65 years or older, in accordance with California’s Phase 1A tier. Scheduling is done via the UCI Health website, vaccine.ucihealth.org. Non-members may complete registration process as “guest.”
