Truth In Accounting

Irvine Ranked No.1 in Fiscal Strength Survey

For the fourth straight year, the City of Irvine has ranked No. 1 in fiscal strength across the country for the year 2020. The Truth in Accounting (TIA) ranking of America’s largest 75 cities calculates how a city would fare financially after all the bills are paid. Irvine was given a surplus score of $4,100 per taxpayer, earning the distinction as the most fiscally healthy large city in the United States. Orange County Power Authority Updates 

The Orange County Power Authority, comprised of the cities of Irvine, Buena Park, Fullerton, Lake Forest, and Huntington Beach, have created their own website to host information about upcoming meetings and materials. Please visit this website moving forward to view these documents. The City of Irvine will continue to send out meeting notifications to our constituents to alert you of upcoming meetings, and previous meeting information can be viewed at the City’s Orange County Power Authority webpage.

 
 
Drive-in movie

Senior Services Drive-in Movie Night 

Join Irvine Senior Services for a movie on the big screen Thursday, February 4 at 5:30 p.m. Drive-in to the Lakeview Senior Center to enjoy popcorn and a special showing of Moonstruck. Sound will be transmitted through your car radio. Space is limited and registration is required. Register now at yourirvine.org

Boy Scouts

Fun Facts for 50 Years of Incorporation!

Jamboree Road, a key thoroughfare throughout the City, was named in honor of the dirt road leading to the 1953 National Boy Scout Jamboree staged on a hill overlooking the Pacific Ocean at what is now Newport Center/Fashion Island.
