X-mas tree recycling

Tree Recycling

Waste Management will collect and recycle Christmas trees on your regular collection day between December 26 and January 18. Trees taller than 6 feet must be cut in half and all decorations (tinsel, lights, ornaments and tree stands) must be removed. Place the tree curbside. Flocked trees will be collected, but cannot be recycled. Irvine residents without curbside trash service can take their trees to Sunset Environmental to dispose of at no charge. Bring proof of Irvine residency.

AB 1884 Straws Upon Request

In an effort to stop plastic pollution and reduce single-use plastics
consumed on a daily basis, Assembly Bill 1884 requires sit-down restaurants in California to only provide a straw when a customer requests it. Do your part to help stop plastic pollution by abstaining from a straw request when dining out.
