Welcome to the Library Reading Corner for May 2025
A Note from City Librarian Elizabeth Saucedo:
Welcome to May, library patrons! We’re celebrating these lovely warmer and longer days with another month of bubble-filled storytimes at our local parks and open spaces in Goleta, outreach Bookvan stops, and some lively book clubs and crafts at our blooming Buellton and Solvang Libraries. When they’re not providing programs, our dedicated staff at Goleta Valley Library are busy unpacking at GVL Express, our temporary home during construction opening in early June at 6500 Hollister Ave, Suite 105. Visit our online project page for the latest updates, including the new locations of our book drops in front of City Hall and at the thriving Goleta Community Center.
We wish to thank each of you for your continued patronage of all our libraries, especially during our periods of change. Whether you visit us in person each week, read the New York Times online, or stream audiobooks on your commute – we’re honored to offer services that enrich your days. May the month ahead bring you abundant library joy!
-Elizabeth Saucedo, City Librarian
