DECEMBER 2021 LIBRARY READING CORNER
A Note from Library Director Allison Gray:
Happy holidays and welcome to the December edition of the Library Reading Corner! To celebrate the holiday season, we announced a book giveaway of "The Polar Express" at each of our three library branches. (Thanks to a generous donation of the books from Monroe Elementary.) In the first two weeks, we have given away 240 copies! "The Polar Express" is one of my favorite books and I am delighted we can share this classic with the community. There are lots of other fun holiday events happening this month, please read on to find out more.
I'm also pleased to announce that our 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program is back. This is a great way for parents to give their children the gift of reading.
The Goleta Valley, Buellton and Solvang Libraries will be closed for the holidays December 24, 25, 31, and January 1. Our regular hours are Tuesday - Saturday 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. The Reading Corner will resume in February.

Goleta & Santa Ynez Valley Library patrons in good standing can have five books per month sent to their home address directly from Amazon. Regular and large prints books, and books on CD published prior to 2020 can be requested. For more information and to place a zip book request click here.
