COVID-19 Summary Highlights from 3/30/2020

  • The Office of the Santa Barbara County District Attorney encourages anyone at risk of violence, or anyone who believes animals may be at increased risk of violence, to contact their office.
  • Of the 88 confirmed cases, 49 are recovering at home, 14 are hospitalized (10 of whom are in the Intensive Care Unit), 19 have fully recovered, and 6 with information pending.
  • Santa Barbara County Public Health has deployed GIS Mapping to more precisely identify the location of confirmed cases of COVID-19 by geographical area in Santa Barbara County and those numbers account for changes in previously reported data.
  • No fatalities related to COVID-19 reported in Santa Barbara County.
  • Residents should continue to protect each other by a series of simple steps, most importantly by continuing to stay home and practicing social distancing.
  • Family Service Agency (FSAcares.org) and 211 provide resources to individuals in households experiencing stress and increased risk of violence due to the current circumstances.
