Highlights from 3/27/2020 Press Conference

  • Governor Newsom takes executive action to establish a Statewide Moratorium on evictions that will apply to Santa Barbara County cities.
  • Federal and State of CA income tax payments and filing dates have been extended from April 15, 2020 to July 15, 2020.
  • Of the 47 confirmed cases, 31 are recovering at home, 5 are hospitalized (2 of whom is in the Intensive Care Unit), 11 have fully covered.
  • No fatalities related to COVID-19 reported in Santa Barbara County.
  • The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has issued a Level 3 Travel Health Notice urging everyone to cancel nonessential international travel.
