A Note from Library Director Allison Gray:
We are very excited to announce that we are again the recipients of a Book to Action grant by the California Center for the Book. This year we are focusing on Britt Collins’ compelling, fast read titled “Strays: The True Story of a Lost Cat, a Homeless Man and Their Journey Across America.”
All of our branches will have multiple copies available for borrowing. We will be hosting book discussions as well as craft programs for children and adults. Goleta is extremely honored to be hosting Britt Collins for a presentation; she is coming all the way from the UK to speak here!
The Book to Action grant requires social action activities and we will be hosting three shelter animal adoption events at Goleta Valley Library in May & June, in partnership with ASAP, BUNS, and DAWG.
Check out the library calendar for events at all the branches and check out the wonderful book “Strays!”
Stay up-to-date on what’s happening at the Library by following us on our Facebook (@GoletaValley Library) and Instagram (goletavalleylibrary) accounts. We post regularly about programs, books, websites, and more. We would love you to follow us on our social media platforms.
