Participate in Parks & Recreation Month with City of Goleta

In honor of Parks & Recreation Month this July, the City of Goleta wants residents to get their Game On! The City has put together a fun-filled calendar of outdoor activities for residents to do throughout the month, available in both English and Spanish.

It’s not only fun to get outdoors, but there are proven benefits as well. Parks and recreation establish and maintain the quality of life in a community; build healthy, active communities; improve the mental and emotional health of all citizens; and provide a place for children and adults to connect with nature and recreate outdoors. In an effort to encourage residents to explore the wonders of Goleta’s Parks, Opens Spaces and neighborhoods, the City created a calendar with an activity for each day. In addition to exploring some of Goleta’s great parks or attending summer time events such as Music at the Ranch, Concerts at the Gazebo or the new Summer Games & Movies at the Goleta Valley Community Center, those interested can also learn a new sport by attending a clinic for pickleball, Bankshot and Bocce Ball.
