There are a number of bicycle projects in
progress right now, and we wanted to provide you with an update.
Construction
to Begin on Hollister Class I Bike Path The long-awaited Hollister Class I Bike Path will begin
construction next week and take approximately six months to complete. The Bike
Path is intended to provide a way for the many school children living south of
Hollister Avenue to safely bike to Ellwood School. It runs from Pacific Oaks
Drive west to Ellwood School.
While most of
the construction will occur during summer, keeping school children safe is a
top priority. The Project will include a comprehensive and safe traffic control
plan to ensure safety and to minimize the impact to the local residents,
students, school, motorists, pedestrians and bicyclists.
Please visit

is Running Out to Take our Survey Everyone who lives, works or plays in Old Town is encouraged to
provide feedback on the Hollister Avenue Complete Streets project by taking our
survey (available in English
and Spanish). The
survey will remain available through the end of May.
The Hollister Avenue Complete Streets project aims to improve the
quality of life in Old Town by making Hollister Avenue appealing to walk,
cycle, drive, shop and dine. Additional goals of the project are to:
Make Old Town street safer
for all travel modes

through Old Town
Provide safe and
convenient connections to residents, employees, and visitors using all modes of
