K-12 grade students residing in Glendale are encouraged to submit artwork for the 2026 "Being Water Wise Is …” Art Contest sponsored by GWP and the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (MWD). Each year, participating students submit original artwork portraying a water-wise theme with a short message about water conservation.
The theme of the 2026 art contest is “Being Water Wise Is …” This means wise and efficient water use at home, school, community, business, industry, nature, agriculture, recreation, and/or hygiene. Themes of conservation, stewardship, and/or climate change impacts should be reflected in the artwork.
From the entries received, GWP selects one first-place winner to receive a $100 Amazon gift card, along with second- and third-place winners receiving $75 and $50 Amazon gift cards. Up to 15 entries are also selected by GWP and submitted to MWD for the chance to be featured in their 2027 Student Art Calendar and earn additional prizes and recognition.
Download the full contest guidelines, and the required Student Information Card and Parental Approval Form on our website link below. The deadline is May 1, 2026.
