Enjoy the late hours in the park as it turns to darkness, and we look to the sky in search of passing meteors. Please bring your blankets, chairs, and dress in layers. Astronomy themed snacks will be served.
 Campfire Program: “I Will Survive” Deukmejian Wilderness Park 3429 Markridge Road, Glendale, CA 91214 Saturday, August 24, 2024 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Our August campfire program will focus on hiking safety and wilderness survival. This will be an evening of songs, skits, smiles, and s'mores. Come at 6:30 p.m. for a craft or arrive at 7:00 p.m. for the campfire program.
 Glendale Outdoors! (GO!) Community Program Deukmejian Wilderness Park 3429 Markridge Road, Glendale, CA 91214 Saturday, August 10, 2024 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.*
Spend some quality family time enjoying the great outdoors once a month! We invite the public to join us for an interpretive hike in Deukmejian Wilderness Park, a nature craft, nature themed games, and a tour of the Stone Barn Nature Center. We will provide water, snacks, and bus transportation from Pacific Community Center, leaving at 8:30 a.m. and returning at 12:30 p.m. Funding for the bus is provided by Metro, a partner in our community.
*Program time begins at 9:00 a.m. at Deukmejian Wilderness Park. If you choose to meet at the park, please arrive by 8:45 a.m. The program ends at 12:00 p.m., and bus riders will return to Pacific Community Center by 12:30 p.m. Important information:
- A FREE bus leaves from Pacific Community Center, 501 S. Pacific Avenue, at 8:30 a.m. and returns at 12:30 p.m.
- Everyone is encouraged to ride the bus! Please arrive by 8:00 a.m. to check-in with the staff if you are riding the bus with us.
- Please wear sturdy shoes, long pants, and a hat or cap.
- Adult supervision is required! One adult for every three children 17 and under is required.

 Enjoy Deukmejian Wilderness Park without worrying about how to get there. Wander the Wilderness Bus is a FREE shuttle operating every weekend, since Sunday, January 28, 2024, to help you and your family get to the park.
