Glendale Water and Power in partnership with Foothill MWD and other local agencies is hosting a rain barrel distribution event on Saturday, May 18th, 2024, 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM. Customers should pre-order a rain barrel, and then plan to pick it up at the event from Foothill MWD at 4536 Hampton Rd, La Canada Flintridge, CA 91011.

Shade trees are a great way to cool your home, reduce the use of your air-conditioning system, and help the environment. GWP’s Tree Power Program offers residential customers up to three free shade trees to plant on their property. Customers can choose from 30 different varieties.
Schedule an appointment with our program arborist to choose your trees and schedule delivery. Our arborist will work with you to help you find the best location to plant your trees to provide shade to cool your home.

Using the theme "Being Water Wise is...," Glendale students in grades K-12th are invited to create an art poster depicting various ways to use water more efficiently.
The first place winner will receive an iPad mini, second place winner will receive a $50 Barnes & Noble Gift Card, and the third place winner will receive a $25 Barnes & Noble Gift Card for their talents.
In addition, a total of 15 entries will be selected by GWP to compete in the regional art contest hosted by the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California for consideration to be featured in their annual Water is Life calendar.
