Assistant General Manager of Water Services, Chisom Obegolu
Mr. Obegolu previously worked for Glendora Water where he served as the Assistant Director of Water Services. During his tenure at Glendora, he led a city-wide Comprehensive Water Infrastructure Assessment including an Integrated Water Resources Master plan and Cost of Service Study.
We are thrilled to have him join our team and take on managing the water operational and business functions, which includes system operations, planning and water resources management. He oversees Water Engineering, Water Operation, Water Distribution, and Water Quality. Among his primary duties is to implement the water strategic plan and initiatives. Mr. Obegolu brings with him a wealth of experience and expertise in the field of water resources management.
Assistant General Manager of Finance & Risk Management, Adrine Isayan
We are excited to announce that Mrs. Isayan has joined our team as the new Assistant General Manager of Finance and Risk Management. With an impressive background as the former Assistant Director of Finance for the City of Glendale, Mrs. Isayan brings over 25 years of invaluable experience to our organization.
Throughout her career, she has worked in various capacities within the Finance department with the majority of her experience being in the city’s Budget, Accounts Payable, and Payroll sections. She has extensive knowledge in the preparation of financial forecasting and reporting and is a seasoned finance professional. She has a dual Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems and in Finance, both from Cal-State Northridge.

In partnership with PACE, we will be hosting an event on February 22, 2024, from 9am to 2pm to provide application assistance to aid in payment of any unpaid water bills. PACE staff will be present to assess eligibility, help residents complete and submit applications, and address any inquiries regarding this federally funded grant. This is a walk-in event, and no appointments are needed to attend.
The Low Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP) is a limited-term program that provides financial assistance to help eligible income-qualified households struggling to pay their residential water and sewer bills.
What to Bring to the Event:
• Government-issued photo ID • Proof of gross income of all household members from the past 30 days, proof of current participation in CalFresh or CalWorks, or proof of LIHEAP assistance within the past 365 days • Current water/sewer bill with meter readings

Parking is available in the Glendale Civic Center parking structure (entrance is from Wilson Ave.) There will be signs directing you to the event from the parking structure.

We are drafting a Solar and Energy Storage Plan and will be hosting five community meetings to obtain direct input from residents and business owners.
In August 2022, the Glendale City Council passed a resolution expressing their intent to adopt policies and practices aimed at achieving the goal of having at least 10% of GWP customers adopt solar and energy storage systems by 2027, and develop additional demand management measures, with a minimum total peak dispatchable and peak-load-reducing capacity of 100 megawatts (MW). The goal of this solar and energy storage plan is to maximize the City of Glendale’s use of renewable energy to serve the current and future energy needs of Glendale residents and businesses.
We recognize that achieving this goal will not come without its challenges, which is why we are seeking input directly from residents to ensure that the Solar and Energy Storage Plan properly captures the interests and needs of the residents and business owners of Glendale.
In doing so, we will host a total of five community meetings:
