Short-Term Rental Use Update

The Planning Commission will be considering amendments to the City of Fullerton Municipal Code regarding the regulation of short-term rental uses in residential zones citywide at its meeting on March 31, 2021.  This meeting is virtual (via Zoom) but members of the public are encouraged to attend either by phone on online. The Planning Commission's action will be to make a recommendation to the City Council for their consideration at a future public hearing. The City Council had previously approved an Ordinance regulating short-term rentals in November 2020.  The proposed amendments will prohibit properties from offering whole-house short-term rentals where the property owner is not living at the property.
