Coronavirus Updates

Volunteers Needed for COVID-19 Vaccine Distribution

volunteer

In anticipation of future needs, the OC Health Care Agency Emergency Volunteer Center (EVC) is currently pre-registering volunteers interested in assisting government staff with COVID-19 vaccinations at Point of Distribution (POD) sites this year. The County of Orange is looking to establish two teams of volunteers: Medically Trained Volunteers and General Support Volunteers.

Orange County needs your help. Please register to volunteer at https://oneoc.org

How do I make an appointment for the vaccine?

Othena

As we make our way through January, vaccine opportunities are being expanded to additional healthcare workers such as doctors and dentists, firefighters, paramedics, those in congregate nursing facilities, and people 65 years and older. You can register at www.othena.com.

Right now, the Federal Drug Administration has given emergency authorization to two vaccines, made by companies Pfizer and Moderna

More vaccines could be authorized in the coming months. The general public will likely be able to get the vaccine in mid-2021.

Questions? Contact OC Health Care Agency at (714) 834-2000 or email Othena's support team at support@compositeapps.net.

City Set to Launch New Software System to Streamline all Fullerton Public Information Act Requests

records

Starting Monday, February 1, 2021 members of the public can submit Public Records Act (PRA) requests online using GovQA instead of via email. The software will track public records requests across multiple City departments, standardize records processing and fulfill requests in accordance with California Law.

The system will help the city plan for the direct costs associated with records processing and ensure the public receives complete and accurate records. In addition, GovQA will allow requesters to submit a public records request, track its progress, and receive updates by email. Requesters will be able to download electronic records deliverables. It will also make it easier for requesters to find already published records with a search feature to obtain records instantly without a wait time.
