Tandem PV recently celebrated the grand opening of their global headquarters, research and development center, and commercial demonstration manufacturing facility.
This facility represents a significant step forward in bringing next-generation solar technology to market. Tandem PV is transforming cutting-edge silicon innovation into something real that, when deployed at scale, will help to power communities in new and more efficient ways.
At a time when energy demand is rising, and the need for reliable, affordable, and sustainable power has never been greater, this work is essential. This facility demonstrates that advanced solar manufacturing can thrive in the United States.
What makes this moment especially exciting is the technology itself. Tandem PV’s perovskite-silicon solar panels are designed to generate more electricity from the same footprint than traditional panels. That means higher efficiency, greater output, and more value. We’re especially proud that this innovation is happening right here in Fremont.

Starting July 1, 2026, the City of Fremont’s minimum wage will increase to $18.05 per hour. Employers are required to pay at least the minimum wage for all hours worked to hourly employees who perform work within the geographic boundaries of the City of Fremont. Employers are also required to post the official City of Fremont Wage Bulletin in the top five languages spoken in the city in a conspicuous place at each work site. The Official Bulletins, including translated versions, are available for download on the City’s Minimum Wage webpage. To avoid a reduction in the valuable services they provide to the community, the minimum wage ordinance exempts employees of non-profit corporations. Questions can be directed to minwage@fremont.gov.
