No Tricks, Just Treats: October Business & Development Updates!
Here’s the TL;DR of this month's issue:
We're excited to announce the official launch of AccessFremont, a new public Wi-Fi network created to help bridge the digital divide and expand internet access across the city. With connection speeds up to 1 gigabit, AccessFremont is a major step forward in promoting digital equity and strengthening community connection.
Once fully deployed, the network will include 125 access points across Fremont’s major districts, including Centerville, Irvington, Mission San Jose (including the Ohlone College area), Niles, and Warm Springs. This initiative will support students, families, job seekers, and residents who rely on stable, high-speed internet to stay connected and thrive in today’s digital world.
Join us for the official launch on Friday, October 24 at 5:00 pm during the Downtown Trick-or-Treat event at the Fremont Downtown Event Center & Plaza.

North Palisade Partners broke ground on the Palisade Fremont Innovation Center, a 70,000-square-foot advanced manufacturing facility located at 43990 Fremont Boulevard near Auto Mall Parkway.
The investment marks a significant milestone in Fremont’s ongoing growth as a hub for reshoring and advanced manufacturing. More than just a new development, this project brings real community value. It is expected to generate over 100 permanent high-tech jobs upon completion, provide over $2 million in funding for community infrastructure and local beautification, and activate a long-vacant site with state-of-the-art innovation space.
At a time when few projects are breaking ground, this development highlights strong confidence in Fremont and the power of effective public-private collaboration. The unanimous support and strategic rezoning decision by our City Council were crucial in making this project possible. Together, we are successfully growing and evolving Fremont as a hub for innovation while increasing confidence in our city’s position as a leader in advanced manufacturing.
We extend our sincere thanks to all who contributed to making this project a reality. We look forward to celebrating the project completion in 2026.
Fremont’s 14th Annual Manufacturing Week recently took place, celebrating the innovation and partnerships that make Fremont a leader in advanced manufacturing.
As part of the events, we partnered on hosting a media tour at Sonic Manufacturing Technologies, a key player in Fremont’s thriving electronics sector. Sonic is home to the production line for DoorDash’s new autonomous delivery robot, DOT, a major step forward in how goods move through our communities. Designed to operate efficiently in urban environments, DOT represents the next generation of local delivery, powered by robotics and advanced manufacturing right here in Fremont.
Tour guests experienced firsthand how the future of last-mile delivery is being built locally, reaffirming why advanced manufacturers continue to choose Fremont as the place to grow and innovate.
Close to 500 students from across the Bay Area toured 17 facilities across industries including semiconductor, biotech, robotics, autotech, and clean tech discovering the technologies shaping tomorrow’s workforce.

Paradox Barbershop recently celebrated the grand opening of its Fremont location in the heart of Downtown! While the shop has already been open and making a strong impact locally, this milestone marked a special moment to officially honor all that’s been built—and all that’s still ahead.
This location is Paradox’s first in Alameda County, and we are especially proud that Paradox chose Fremont as part of that journey.
More than just a barbershop, Paradox serves as a vibrant gathering space and a true community hub. Through creative partnerships, local events, and initiatives, Paradox continually shows a deep commitment to community, values that align perfectly with the spirit of Fremont.
Paradox is building more than a business; they are leading a movement to become the premier barber community worldwide. Their academy plays a key role in that mission, training the next generation with globally recognized techniques and helping students earn their state licenses, paving the way for lasting opportunity and professional growth.
