Our recent Fremont & North San José Commercial Real Estate Bus Tour was a great success! The event drew nearly 180 attendees from across the commercial real estate and land use professions. Hosted in partnership with The Registry, the tour offered a firsthand look at key industrial, data center, mixed-use, and future development sites. With tours narrated by Economic Development staff and private sector counterparts, industry leaders shared timely insights on market trends and regional growth opportunities. Thank you to all who joined us for this engaging and informative event!

The Fremont 880 Technology Center has quickly become fully leased within months of its completion! Developed by pension fund asset manager Ares, the center's two key tenants, leaders in artificial intelligence hardware and electric vehicles, bolster Fremont's status as a premier hub for cutting-edge manufacturing and technology.
Spanning approximately 400,000 square feet across three state-of-the-art industrial buildings, the Fremont 880 Technology Center was made possible by Council action to change the zoning and general plan land use designation from regional commercial to industrial, enabling a new employment hub to support the City's growth. The fully leased 880 Tech Center exemplifies the ongoing transformation of Fremont's industrial landscape, driven by robust demand and a clear vision for future development. Additional projects are underway, reinforcing the shift towards next-generation industrial facilities in the City.
The Future of Fremont took place yesterday and featured Mayor Salwan, Economic Development Director Donovan Lazaro, and industry leaders from Prologis, CBRE, and Lockehouse, Ohlone College, and others.
The event included engaging conversations about Fremont’s evolution into a center for advanced manufacturing, innovation, and its highly skilled workforce. Thank you for all that attended!
