Last week, we hosted the inaugural Small Business Digital Marketing Bootcamp at the Fremont Downtown Event Center. This free two-day event helped small business owners enhance their digital marketing skills, focusing on website content, SEO, Email and SMS/Text marketing, social media engagement, organic growth, and much more to attract and retain customers.
The event was a huge success, with over 375 local business owners in attendance! A special thanks to our partner Jives Media for sharing their expertise and to Fremont Bank for sponsoring the event.
Whether business owners in attendance were new to to digital marketing or an experienced pro, the bootcamp provided valuable strategies to strengthen their online presence, engage with customers, and build loyalty. We’re proud to support local small businesses and are excited to keep helping them thrive in today’s competitive market.

What was recently just a theoretical exercise in academia and sci-fi novels, quantum computing is now being recognized as a new paradigm underpinning the future of computing. Quantum computing is a new type of computation that leverages the principles of quantum physics where two states of being exist simultaneously. Through these highly complex machines, computation can occur in orders of magnitude faster than the today’s fastest supercomputers. With its 90K square foot Fremont Quantum Computing Fab, Rigetti Computing is at the cutting edge of this technology, building both the quantum computers and the superconducting quantum processors that power them with increasing accuracy.
Recently, Fremont-based Quanta Computing announced a partnership with Rigetti, with both companies investing $100M over the next 5 years to advance superconducting quantum technologies. Fremont stands to benefit directly from this announcement.
After being acquired as a subsidiary of Taiwanese electronics conglomerate Wistron, Fremont-based Alpha EMS recently leased 126,000 square feet at 4211 Starboard Drive, nearly tripling its Fremont manufacturing capacity. The ED team had an opportunity to tour the new facility and discuss growth plans with the company’s leadership. Parent company Wistron plans to invest considerable resources to building out a premier manufacturing operation in Fremont, including adding additional power to support customer demands for AI hardware. Fremont continues to lead the way in California’s manufacturing renaissance.
In another major milestone of Downtown Fremont's growth, The Tolman - a 240-unit mixed-used project by MIG Real Estate - has started moving in its first residents. The project also has 5,700 square feet of ground-floor commercial space and is actively leasing for new ground-floor retail tenants.
