We're excited to share updates on the Power the Bay electric transmission project! The $500M initiative, led by LS Power Grid California, aims to strengthen the electrical grid across southern Alameda and Santa Clara counties. This initiative, along with a “sister” project in San Jose, is considered one of the most important improvements to California’s grid in decades. By enhancing capacity and bi-directionality of regional power infrastructure, this project supports California’s transition to clean energy and will help to meet growing electric demand driven by housing expansion, building and vehicle electrification, and economic growth, all while improving grid reliability. Stay tuned for more updates as we work towards beginning construction in early 2026. For more information, visit www.PowertheBay.com.

Q: Where did your passion for cosmetology & opening a salon begin?
Andrew: Hi, I am Andrew Lynn, and I am the owner of Tangles Salon & Spa in Fremont, California. I got into the industry when I was just 15 and a half. I started at the front desk when this location was Bay Street Salon back in 1999, and I worked with that owner for about nine years, so it started my journey in the salon industry. I got onto the floor about five years later as an assistant and worked under two stylists, and that kind of opened my horizons of the business and wanting to watch the business grow.
Q: What services does Tangles Salon & Spa offer?
Andrew: We offer a lot of different services at Tangles Salon & Spa. We offer skin services and have a skincare specialist that does facials and waxing. The line that she uses is seaweed based so it is very fragile on the skin for all skin types. On the hair side, we also have a wide range of services that we offer. We do color, color correction, touch up colors, full colors, highlights, perms, straightening services, and fancy haircuts!
Q: How do you want clients to feel when visiting Tangles Salon & Spa?
Andrew: I want everyone to feel that they are family, and they are welcome. It is really important for us to make you feel welcome and I know it is a very intimidating feeling walking into somewhere new, but we open the doors to all.
Q: How can clients schedule appointments or consultations?
Andrew: We offer free consultations to all of our customers, so you can schedule an appointment with one of our stylists, and you can meet them and go over your lifestyle and what you would like to do with your hair. The stylist can give you more hands on direction of styles and colors that would be good for you.
