On February 22, Tesla invited over 70 middle school girls to spend a day at its expansive Fremont facility hearing from engineers, taking a tour of the impressive manufacturing floor, and solving engineering exercises with Tesla employees. Expanding the pipeline of skilled workers in advanced manufacturing begins at a very young age, and Tesla is a great example of leaving a positive impression on middle school girls who may very well end up leading engineering teams in decades to come.
