Fremont staff had the pleasure of visiting Power Knot, a Fremont Based company that specializes in designing and manufacturing systems that divert food waste from landfills and convert it into valuable resources. Using only heat, naturally occurring microorganisms, and oxygen, Power Knot’s biodigesters use an aerobic digestion process to turn organic waste into water and air, eliminating methane emissions. Their solutions are used in various industries, including hospitality, food service, and commercial facilities. Founded by Fremont resident Iain Milnes, the company has experienced rapid growth, all without the need for venture capital. Alan Nguyen (Owner of R&B Tea Fremont)
Q: Where did Your passion to open R&B Tea begin?
Alan: My passion for R&B Tea is very simple, I travel around the world and my passion is about eating and trying food. I found the R&B brand in Vietnam and contacted the franchise and that is how I started a business.
Q: Can you tell us about the quality of R&B Tea‘s food and beverages?
Alan: The quality of the drinks on our menu is something that I am very proud of. We use high premium and good quality ingredients and teas. All of which are imported from Taiwan and China.
Q: Why did you choose to locate at Artist Walk in Centerville?
Alan: The reason why I picked Artist Walk is because of the modern building structure and because it is on Fremont Blvd. I believe that there will be a lot of foot traffic with residents and local businesses. There are also a couple high school and middle schools within walking distance, and we believe this will be a very good strategic location for R&B Tea.
Q: How do you want customers to feel when visiting R&B Tea and what is your goal with the Fremont location ?
Alan: We actually extended our hours from 11 AM to 9:30 PM. My goal is to provide an ambience where we all can meet up and have milk tea and enjoy R&B Tea in the evening. We want a place where Fremont residents can come out late and visit.
