Happy February, Fontana. We welcome the new month with numerous family-friendly events to celebrate culture and health during National Black History Month and American Heart Month.

As last month came to a close, we reflected on 2019 during our annual State of the City event. Mayor Acquanetta Warren gave her address highlighting the City’s past accomplishments and shared exciting plans for this year and beyond. Also, as a year-in-review, we produced our Annual Report. Similar to the State of the City, the 2019 Annual Report reflects the City of Fontana’s commitment to providing superior services, celebrates the achievements of the year, and includes a glimpse into what the future of Fontana entails...

Keep your heart healthy while getting your steps in during this month's community walk at Mary Vagle Nature Center (11501 Cypress Ave.) on Saturday, February 15 at 8:00 a.m. Register for the program and start submitting your steps today. All newly-registered participants will receive a free Healthy Fontana t-shirt, pedometer, and water bottle. Register and submit steps here

Fontana is Jazzing it Up

Celebrate Black History Month at the Fontana Arts JazzFest on Saturday, February 22, 2020, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Steelworkers’ Auditorium (8437 Sierra Ave.) at Miller Park. The auditorium will be filled with lively colors, bluesy music, and entertaining acts. This event will showcase jazz music performances, dances, and honor African American achievements.

The City of Fontana and Fontana Chamber of Commerce held the 23rd annual State of the City event on Thursday, January 30, 2020, at the Jessie Turner Community Center.
