Development Services Organization Celebrates Customers with Appreciation Days and More

Fontana, Calif.- During the season of thankfulness, the Development Services Organization (DSO) is launching a Customer Service Campaign to show appreciation for Fontana residents and the development community. Kicking off the campaign is the first Customer Appreciation Day on Thursday, November 14, in the DSO lobby located at 8353 Sierra Avenue.

Customers are DSO's number one priority, and the Customer Appreciation Day is in honor of that. Residents and the development community are invited to stop by the DSO lobby on Thursday, November 14 for coffee, donuts, water, and giveaways throughout the day while supplies last. Staff members will be easy to identify wearing Fontana blue polos, and the lobby will be decorated with balloons and banners. Customer Appreciation Days will be ongoing, taking place on the second Thursday of November, February, June, and August.

The Development Services Organization includes the Departments of Engineering, Public Works, Community Development (Planning, and Building and Safety), the Fire Protection District, and Administration. These departments work directly with visitors to assist with projects related to the growth, development, and redevelopment throughout Fontana.

DSO strives to provide exceptional customer service to all those who approach the front counters of the office, and continues to be a collaborative and innovative partner to our citizens and the development community. A recent addition to the lobby to enhance efficiency and improve the customer service experience for visitors is kiosks. Visitors can now sign in electronically at one of two kiosks and select from services provided by each department. The visitor's name will then appear on a monitor where they will be able to see and hear when their name is called, along with which counter or cashier to approach when called. The new system aims to reduce wait time and confusion by directing the customer to the correct counter and employee.

Future events of the campaign, aside from Customer Appreciation Days, will include open houses to meet with DSO staff members.
