Fontana, Calif.- Give back to your community and join us at our next Park Clean-Up Day on Saturday, August 24, 2019 from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Southridge Bird Farm.

Volunteers will assist in picking up trash, removing weeds, raking, and other duties as needed. Participants are asked to dress comfortably and wear closed-toe shoes or boots. Staff will be on site with a sign-in sheet and will provide volunteers with a schedule as well as any supplies necessary for the day. Lunch will also be provided.

Fontana’s Park Clean-up Day is a reoccurring event that takes place at different locations every month throughout the year. This is done to allow citizens to take pride in our city parks by ensuring that they are maintained. If you are unable to attend the clean-up on Saturday, August 24, other clean-up events in 2019 are scheduled for:

  • September 14 at Jurupa Hills Park
  • October 12 along the Pacific Electric Trail at Alder and Laurel
  • November 9 along the Pacific Electric Trail at Citrus and Tokay
  • December 14 at Southridge Park Bird Farm
