City of Fontana Launches Citywide Initiative: “Fontana Kindness Challenge”

Fontana Kindness Challenge

Fontana, Calif.- Inspired by eleven-year-old Ruben Martinez’s El Paso Challenge to complete 22 random acts of kindness, the City of Fontana is joining in on the challenge with the “Fontana Kindness Challenge.” The City encourages all residents to unite and spread a random act of kindness each day throughout August around the community.

Kindness is a gift that everyone can afford to give, you can help spread kindness through simple acts such as saying hello to everyone you see in the morning, paying it forward at a drive-thru, giving your neighbor a tray of cookies and more.

“The Fontana Challenge is an opportunity for us as a City to unite by showing our neighbors, coworkers or even strangers that a little kindness can go a long way,” says Mayor Warren. “Random acts of kindness are contagious and can make a difference in the lives that need it the most.”

Encourage your fellow City of Fontana community members to perform a random act of kindness by tagging your friends on social media and challenging them to the #FontanaKindnessChallenge. By using the hashtag, the City of Fontana will also share the post through its social media platforms. For those with private social media accounts, we recommend direct messaging the City your Fontana Kindness Challenge post. An act of kindness goes a long way, and it all begins with you and our City.
