Mayor Warren Appointed to U.S. Conference of Mayors Nominating Committee

Fontana, Calif.- Mayor Acquanetta Warren has been appointed to the United States Conference of Mayors (USCM) Nominating Committee by the USCM President and Mayor of Columbia, Steve Benjamin. The Nominating Committee will meet on Saturday, June 29 at the 87th Annual Conference of Mayors Meeting in Honolulu, Hawaii. 

Members of the Nominating Committee select recommendations to fill vacancies for Trustees of the Conference of Mayors and members of the Advisory Board. There are four openings for Trustee and 10 openings for the Advisory Board. 

The members of the 2019 Nominating Committee are:

  • West Sacramento Mayor Christopher L. Cabaldon

  • Providence Mayor Jorge O. Elorza
  • Gary Mayor Karen Freeman-Wilson
  • Long Beach Mayor Robert Garcia
  • Mesa Mayor John Giles
  • Burnsville Mayor Elizabeth B. Kautz
  • Jackson Mayor Chokwe Lumumba
  • Boston Mayor Martin Walsh

Mayor Warren is also the Chair of the U.S. Conference of Mayors Manufacturing and Career and Technical Education Task Force.
