Fontana Mayor Pro Tem and City Council Member Appointed to Serve on League of California Cities’ Policy Committees

City Council Members

Mayor Pro Tem Jesse Armendarez and Council Member Jesse Sandoval


Fontana, Calif.- Fontana Mayor Pro Tem Jesse Armendarez and Council member Jesse Sandoval have been appointed to serve on the League of California Cities' Policy Committees. Mayor Pro Tem Armendarez will serve on the Housing, Community and Economic Development Policy Committee. Council member Sandoval will serve on the Community Services Committee. Both will assist in shaping the League's policy positions on issues facing California cities and advocating for cities at the State Capital. 

The Housing, Community and Economic Development Policy Committee has the lead responsibility for making recommendations to the League Board of Directors regarding policy positions related to fostering local control of community planning decisions as they relate to land use and economic development. 

The Community Services Committee has the lead responsibility for making recommendations to the League Board of Directors regarding policy positions on State issues related to childcare, parks and recreation, libraries, cultural arts and community and human services program.
