Mosquito Bridge Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

.

El Dorado County Seal

The Mosquito Bridge project connecting the Placerville area with Swansboro has been decades in the making. The new bridge replaces an old bridge that was one lane and in a condition that seemed precarious. The Mosquito Bridge project required funding from many sources, including federal grants that provided a large portion of the funding. The completion of the new bridge was marked by a Mosquito Bridge ribbon cutting ceremony. Dignitaries and members of the public gathered together to witness the completed work and celebrate the effort to make it happen. Supervisor Turnboo joined Supervisor Ferrero, Supervisor Veerkamp and Supervisor Laine for a photo opportunity and to commemorate the event. The bridge will now enhance and grow our communities in the surrounding areas as it provides greater safety and access for our region.
