Congressman Kevin Kiley Press Event
.
.
Supervisor Turnboo recently attended an event with Congressman Kevin Kiley to celebrate securing $2M in funding for the SouthEast Connector JPA. The funding Congressman Kevin Kiley secured will help infrastructure upgrades along White Rock Road, benefiting both Sacramento County and El Dorado County. Congressman Kevin Kiley has always shown a willingness to support important projects in our region and listen to the needs of residents. The big check was presented by Congressman Kevin Kiley to SouthEast Connector JPA Director Derek Minnema who graciously accepted on behalf of the member jurisdictions. In attendance were many local and regional officials including Folsom Mayor Justin Raithel and Councilmember Sarah Aquino.
The SouthEast Connector JPA is working to build a state-of-the-art 34-mile-long expressway transportation corridor that connects I-5 to HWY 99 to SR 16 and HWY 50 from Sacramento County to El Dorado County. The expressway will provide greater relief to traffic in southeastern Sacramento County. Multiple jurisdictions, including El Dorado County, participate as member agencies for the SouthEast Connector JPA decision making board.
