Non-Profit Construction has completed the first Title 25 home for Mac and Cathie in Grizzly Flats. The great effort by Non-Profit Construction and their partners is an example of El Dorado County residents coming together to help the community. Elected officials, news media and local residents came out for the homewarming event in honor of Mac and Cathie. After many years of living in conditions that are difficult, Mac and Cathie are tremendously grateful for their new home. The first Title 25 home build is encouragement to Caldor Fire survivors and concerned residents as the Title 25 program represents another piece of the puzzle in local disaster recovery. The District 2 Office of Supervisor George Turnboo thanks Non-Profit Construction, El Dorado County Planning and Building Department, Pioneer Fire District, El Dorado Community Foundation, Food Bank of El Dorado County and many other partners who have collaborated to ensure the Title 25 program is available for residents recovering from the 2021 Caldor Fire.

El Dorado County accepts certain household hazardous waste from residents. The Environmental Management Department provides information regarding what constitutes household hazardous waste, and the proper ways of disposing the waste. On December 13th, El Dorado County will host another household hazardous waste collection event by appointment only. To participate in the upcoming waste collection event, please contact the Environmental Management Department directly by phone at (530) 621-5300 or by email at hhw@edcgov.us to schedule an appointment.
