Join the celebration 10am on November 15th, for the first Title 25 home being completed for Mac and Cathie after surviving the 2021 Caldor Fire. The event is being hosted by Non-Profit Construction; the charity that raised funds and managed the project. The Title 25 program originated as a collaboration between Supervisor George Turnboo and Planning Director Karen Garner, and included partners such as Pioneer Fire District. Once the Title 25 program was in place, there still remained a question of how residents would be able to build Title 25 homes. Non-Profit Construction stepped-in to help assist Caldor Fire survivors in Grizzly Flats secure resources needed to build and manage home building projects from beginning to end. The great effort by Non-Profit Construction and their partners is an example of El Dorado County residents coming together to help the community. The first Title 25 home build should be an encouragement to Caldor Fire survivors and concerned residents as the Title 25 program represents another piece of the puzzle in local disaster recovery.

Immediately following at 11am will be the regularly scheduled Grizzly Flats food distribution event.

When: 10am to 11am, November 15th, 2025

Mission To Honor Vets

Supervisor Turnboo joined Supervisor Ferrero in attending the Mission to Honor Veterans event at Foothills Church in Cameron Park. The event is an opportunity for veterans to virtually experience the National War Memorials in Washington, D.C. without leaving their local area. The event included presentations and activities created to honor the service of veterans. The stories told by the veterans were incredible and show the will and determination of our military. Both Supervisors honored each veteran they met and thanked each veteran for their service. Supervisor Turnboo's father was one of the Chosin Few who survived the Korean War.
