El Dorado County Government provides opportunities for employee advancement through Human Resources to encourage productivity and enhance public services. Employees recently enjoyed a three-day course referred to as "Leadership Academy" to help them prepare for new or upcoming changes in their respective departments. The course provided foundational leadership and management training to current and newly appointed supervisors and managers to better prepare them for their leadership roles, duties and responsibilities. The topics covered by the course range from communication to trust building, and include specifics regarding protected leave, employee relations and managing risk. The attendees were grateful for the "Leadership Academy" learning opportunity and applauded Human Resources for their teaching of the course.
